This project takes satin or chiffon bridesmaids or wedding dresses to use for the backing and ruffles for a memory baby blanket perfect for the brides first baby. Two dresses are needed for a ruffled edge otherwise one dress will work and flat satin binding will be used. I prefer you send me your dress before ordering to make sure it’s usable. Sizing is great for a newborn at 30 x 35 inches. This beautiful and functional baby blanket boasts a stunning custom design that makes it one of a kind. I will create the blanket in three- five week days once I get the dress from you. Please wash and dry your dress on delicate before you send it to make sure it is suitable for a baby blanket. Dry cleaning alone doesn’t get out stains or oils. Add an embroidered name or monogram for no additional charge.
*******FULL DISCLOSURE: When I use your dress for the back of the blanket it will not look like cut fabric from a bolt. The backing may have seams, gathers or other non-traditional store bought looks that were required to make this custom memory blanket.
